Council on Aging Silicon Valley’s Fair Lending Project for Seniors provides legal and social work services to seniors wishing to protect themselves against harmful mortgage lending practices.

Assistance can include counseling, referrals, legal assistance, and/or care management depending on the senior's specific situation.

The Fair Lending Project for Seniors also gives outreach presentations covering a wide range of issues, including predatory lending, smart refinancing, reverse mortgage alternatives, foreclosure prevention, and how to spot a loan modification scam. Referrals to local HUD-approved mortgage counselors are provided upon request.
