“After a successful out-patient procedure I woke at 2:30am. As I rose to go to the restroom I felt like I had ‘no legs’ and gently collapsed to the floor. I knew that nothing was broken as I went down very easily. I knew I had the Council on Aging Care Call button but felt it wasn’t necessary to push it. I felt I could comfortably lie here until morning. As I began to get cold something told me not to wait and I decided to go ahead and push the button. In no time at all the firemen were there. They found the hidden key based on information from the Care Call service. After an assessment the emergency medical technicians decided to transport me to the hospital. It turned out that I had an internal bleed and needed follow-up surgery. The Care Call system saved my life.
